		<description>@Meagan I wore a very understated cocktail dress to my prom. Practical (and I still wear the thing!), but it does mean I missed out on the sweeping-floor-length-gown experience...I like the idea of wearing one just for the hell of it, though!

@AH I agree! Especially since trying on dresses in front of the sales ladies at the Ballroom is more than a little daunting. There’s something quite alarming about having a gaggle of women standing around you saying, “ooh, I don’t think that will quite zip up!” while a girl strips naked across the room and another one hoists her breasts up to simulate the effects of an imaginary bra and says, “oh, but I won’t be this pale, I’m going to the tanning salon later.”</description>
