Interestingly, I have never had a bad meal in England, and I went there several times while I was still living in Europe. I did have some uninteresting and bland meals in London, but that was mostly in places like train stations or touristy areas where everything was so unaffordable that I had to turn to pre-made sandwiches and the like.
